Christmas Day

Here are some pictures from Christmas Day. Ryan has a giant stuffed dog that he loves to carry around everywhere. So, of course, he had to drag him in to see his presents- haha!! One of his favorite gifts was a huge doggie book from Daddy---he has really enjoyed looking at that and giving all the dogs "kissies". Other pictures are Ryan modeling his new helmet and playing with the trains with Gramps.

Ryan on Christmas Eve

Here is a short video of Ryan from Christmas Eve. :)

After an e-mail from Jenny with funny Santa pictures, I realized I had never uploaded the ones from Ryan visiting Santa. So, here they are!! Notice how happy he is in the first one...just talking about seeing Santa was fine. But when we actually got close to Santa Ryan wanted nothing to do with him- haha!!

Grandma and Grandpa Kelvin (Brian's parents) got Ryan an adorable singing animals toy. He loves to carry it everywhere and listen to the music. :)

Ryan had his two year check up yesterday. The doctor said everything looks perfect (I could've told him that- hehe!! ;) ) He weighs 29 pounds, 6 oz. and is 37 3/4 inches tall.

Ryan has been able to count to 10 for a couple of weeks now. He also started spelling his name, although it is hit and miss if he is going to say "R...Y...A...N" or "R...Y...A...RYAN!!!" Either way, I give him credit because he's so darn cute! ;)

Happy Birthday Ryan!!! :)

I can't even believe that two years have passed by since Ryan came into our lives---how incredibly blessed we are! Ryan's big present was a train table that he's had for a couple of weeks now, but we gave him an animal set this morning. Then we took him to Explora (children's museum) and out to eat for lunch. It was such a wonderful family day! :) Attached are some pictures and videos from today.

Celebrating Ryan's birthday

We decide to celebrate Ryan's birthday last Friday while Aunt Jenny and Uncle Eric were in town. He got a new "bike" (AKA tricycle ;) ) from Granny and Gramps that he just loves. Aunt Jenny and Uncle Eric got him a webcam so Ryan will always know who they are! And from Great Aunt Debbie he got a Preschoolers Bible (he sat and listened attentively until page 112 at the first reading!!!) and an alphabet game for the fridge (that he loves to listen to...of course, right now most letters are D's!! Haha!!)

Random Ryan goodness! ;)

Here are some recent pictures of Ryan that I find adorable. There is one from Thanksgiving, one with his "movie star" sunglasses on, and one reading with Gramps.

Recreating past pictures

So when Ryan was just a few months old, we had him dressed in a Chiefs romper and we set him on the couch with the remote, a can of Pringles, and a soda. We got some adorable pictures. We decided to re-create the picture now that he's older. It was much easier the first time around when he couldn't grab things or move too much- haha!! This time, all he was interested in was the "Chippies!!!!" :)

No new pictures...but a couple of cute stories!

This morning Ryan and I were in the car waiting for Granny to meet us. Ryan hears a truck so he strains from his carseat to find it. He spots it on the road and sees that it is a Lays potato chip truck. What does he call it? "A chippy truck!!!" :)

We have given Ryan my old cell phone and he loves to walk around the house holding it to his ear. Most of the time if you ask him who he is talking to he says "Rachel", my friend from work. Last night he said he was talking to Daddy. So Brian took our phone and held it to his own ear and said, "I'm talking to Ryan." Ryan looks over to him and shouts excitedly, "Talking Ryan too!!!!"

This boy cracks me up!!! :)

Halloween

Halloween night...we decided to take Ryan trick-or-treating to the houses on our culdesac. It took him about two houses to get the concept, and by the end he was enthusiastically saying, "tricktreat" as he got to each door. Afterwards we spent some time out our neighbors house...Ryan was definitely the hit of the party!! ;)

Attached is a video of Ryan we took tonight and some pictures. :)

Ryan video

A few weeks ago we went to Brian's friend Dan's house. They live on the other side of the mountain and have 2 goats, a cat, a horse, and Max (our old dog). Ryan LOVED all the animals. Here is a video of Ryan "neighing"---it is the funniest thing. He got so startled when the HORSE neighed! :)

Ryan's future therapy :)

So Aunt Jenny seems to think that Ryan is going to need therapy in the future. I happen to think his costume is just adorable!!! ;) However, I suppose Ryan can choose--- College or Therapy--- I'm confident he'll make the right choice! Haha!!! Besides, we figure next year he will want to choose his own costume and will probably pick something boring like Spiderman or Superman!!

Ryan is SO funny...the things he says just crack us up. ;)
I started telling him, "See you later, alligator" so he will walk around saying "Bye, bye gator!" Of course, he loves to imitate Granny's Okie-Dokie Artichokie by saying "Okie, okie, okie, chokie."
This weekend he has been going around saying, "I told you, Daddy." We have no idea where that came from, but I think it's hilarious!
He also loves to say, "Oh, geez!" when he sees someone fall or do something strange.
Brian has also been molding Ryan into a good Chiefs fan-- he already thinks that Chiefs and football are synonymous so anytime he sees football on the TV he yells out, "Chiefs!!!!" He also loves to cuddle up with Brian on the couch to watch them play on TV.

Welcome to the Bunzel family blog. Hopefully this format will make it easier for me to keep up with updates and pictures of our family. :)

Ryan at Pumpkin Fest

Friday night my school had their annual Pumpkin Fest. We dressed Ryan in his costume and he loved being the center of attention! He even let us put the hood on and kept it on! He had a blast running around and interacting with all the people.
