Proud Mommy Moment

If bragging mommies annoy you, please skip this post ;)

Treebush

The neighbors have a cat that I swear purposefully comes over to play with Ryan in the backyard. Seems like most nights Ryan and Brian go outside that the cat comes over. Ryan has decided that the kitty is his and wants to name him Treebush. He gets the biggest kick of interacting with him.

Sleeping

I don't know what it is about little ones sleeping, but I just can't get enough of it. To spare those who don't feel the same way, I've grouped all the recent sleeping pictures together in one post. :)

Preschool!

Ryan had his first day of preschool this week and loved it. It is so fun to watch his excitement and hear all about his exciting day!

Rainbow

The other night when Brian was watering the trees in the back (yes, there is more than just rocks back there- haha!) the sun was just getting ready to set. He noticed that if he moved the water hose up over the house, the droplets of water combined with the setting sun created a rainbow. It was a really neat effect!

More Conversations with Ryan

Ryan loves to take all of his smaller balls (about 15 or so!) and put them on his bed. Then he drags his basketball hoop into his room. This happens in the morning and again after his nap with me bringing the balls and hoop back out to the living room before each sleep time. The other day I was piling all the balls in my arms and Ryan comes in and says, "Oh no, Mama! Don't even THINK about making more work for me!" I couldn't help but laugh.

Sleeping

The other night when I went to check on Ryan I noticed he had taken all of his animals and lined them up on his bed. When I asked him about it in the morning, he told me he put them all in their seats to watch a movie. : )

Conversations with Ryan

Just some cute conversations that I don't want to forget:

Ryan and I were playing in the pool and I was taking my wet hair and putting it in front of my face. (Ryan is such a hair man!)
Ryan: No, Mama. That does not make you the perfect Mommy.
Me: Why not?
Ryan: Because I don't like your hair like that.
Me: What about if it were dry and was the way it usually is.
Ryan: Then you would be the perfect Mommy!

I am one lucky Mommy, that is for sure!

Another day it was cooler in the afternoon so we went outside to see if it felt warm enough to go in the pool. I decided I didn't want to go.

Me: We're not going to swim today. I think it's a little too cold.
Ryan: But I want to swim.
Me: Well, if you want to get in you can and I will stay out here and watch you.
Ryan: No! I can't swim by myself!
Me: Why not?
Ryan: Because that would be selfish!!

Haha!!!!!

Soccer Goal

Ryan playing with the soccer goals and all his balls in the backyard. ;)

New Backpack

Granny bought Ryan a new backpack in anticipation of him going to preschool in the fall. It has a little doggie on the back that comes off and has its own zippered compartment. Very cute and Ryan loves it!

Bubbles

Ryan loves blowing and catching bubbles (thanks to Granny!!). This day he really wanted to try to catch one in his mouth. His giggling just cracks me up in this video. :)

Swimming

We brought our pool out from last summer and set it up. Ryan really loves getting in every afternoon (and I do too if truth be told!! ;) ).

Drawing

So I know Ryan is not ahead of the pack when it comes to his drawing abilities, but a few weeks ago we were at a restaurant and I asked him (for the millionth time!) to draw a person. Well, this time he actually drew a person...and it's cute too!! So of course I had to take the paper home and take a picture of it!
