Conversations with Ryan

Just some cute conversations that I don't want to forget:

Ryan and I were playing in the pool and I was taking my wet hair and putting it in front of my face. (Ryan is such a hair man!)
Ryan: No, Mama. That does not make you the perfect Mommy.
Me: Why not?
Ryan: Because I don't like your hair like that.
Me: What about if it were dry and was the way it usually is.
Ryan: Then you would be the perfect Mommy!

I am one lucky Mommy, that is for sure!

Another day it was cooler in the afternoon so we went outside to see if it felt warm enough to go in the pool. I decided I didn't want to go.

Me: We're not going to swim today. I think it's a little too cold.
Ryan: But I want to swim.
Me: Well, if you want to get in you can and I will stay out here and watch you.
Ryan: No! I can't swim by myself!
Me: Why not?
Ryan: Because that would be selfish!!

Haha!!!!!

Soccer Goal

Ryan playing with the soccer goals and all his balls in the backyard. ;)

New Backpack

Granny bought Ryan a new backpack in anticipation of him going to preschool in the fall. It has a little doggie on the back that comes off and has its own zippered compartment. Very cute and Ryan loves it!

Bubbles

Ryan loves blowing and catching bubbles (thanks to Granny!!). This day he really wanted to try to catch one in his mouth. His giggling just cracks me up in this video. :)

Swimming

We brought our pool out from last summer and set it up. Ryan really loves getting in every afternoon (and I do too if truth be told!! ;) ).

Drawing

So I know Ryan is not ahead of the pack when it comes to his drawing abilities, but a few weeks ago we were at a restaurant and I asked him (for the millionth time!) to draw a person. Well, this time he actually drew a person...and it's cute too!! So of course I had to take the paper home and take a picture of it!

Rocket ship

How all astronauts get ready for bed in their rocket ;)

Aunt Jenny and Uncle Eric got Ryan the cutest cardboard rocket ship. The entire time we were assembling it he was asking, "When's it going to blast off?" So we finally got it together and he got in. Brian counted down and when he got to zero Ryan started to lift the rocket up then wanted to know why it wasn't working. Haha! We had to explain that it wasn't a real rocket! Today he told us that he was "flying to the moon and not coming back to Earth until tomorrow." We shall see ;)

Misc.

He likes to pour water on himself and shake off like a doggie. ;)

Circus

Brian got tickets for Ryan and I to go to the circus. Ryan especially loved all the animals. I know the video is short but Ryan was cracking up at this man riding such a little bike.

Zoo

From our recent trip to the zoo. Ryan loves to feed the ducks (and himself- haha!)

Singing videos

Lately Ryan has been singing so much...he loves to make up songs (And 20 years from now when he wins American Idol, you can say you knew him when- hahaha!!). Of course when he sees I have the camera out, he stops singing. So I've had to go into stealth mode to capture some of his songs. Here are a few:

Taking care of his doggies

Ryan makes sure his doggies get some water when they are thirsty ;)

Cutie patootie
