Grand Old Flag

Here is a video I've been meaning to post for a while. As you all know, Ryan loves flags. One day I was singing this song and kept asking me to sing it for him. A few days later I heard him singing it in his crib. So here is a video of Ryan singing "Grand Old Flag." Below are the actual lyrics in case you are not familiar with this song.

You're a grand old flag, You're a high flying flag

And forever in peace may you wave.

You're the emblem of The land I love.

The home of the free and the brave.

Ev'ry heart beats true 'neath the Red, White and Blue,

Where there's never a boast or brag.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,

Keep your eye on the grand old flag

More Zoo

At the zoo

So I can't stop laughing at this picture, although I probably shouldn't. We were feeding the ducks/fishes at the zoo and this swan came over. When Ryan looked down to get a closer look, it reached up. Rest assured, it didn't touch Ryan and Ryan thought it was hilarious that it got so close.

Reading

Swimming

(Yes, I know Ryan will hate me for this picture later on, but I just couldn't resist that adorable little butt!!! ;) )
(And, no, I don't usually let him wander the backyard naked...I just take his trunks off outside to dry him off and this day he wanted to pull his wagon while I gathered everything up!)

We got a big (for us at least!) pool for our backyard. Ryan has been LOVING it! We have been going every day after his nap. Here are some pics and video from the other day.

Sesame Street Live!!

We took Ryan to see Sesame Street Live...he was so excited (and we were too!! ;) )

Potty training

A couple of weeks ago we started Ryan on potty training. He did phenomenal for the first few days...no real accidents to speak of, but no bowel movement either! Day three produced an upset stomach and then an accident during nap time. After that, Ryan seemed to freak...he stopped wanting to sit on the potty, even to pee. SO...we decided to go back to diapers for a few weeks. (Notice even when he is sitting on the potty he is still obsessed with flags!!- Haha!!!)

Looking Cute :)

Putt Putt

We took Ryan to play Putt Putt. He's no Tiger Woods (yet ;) ) but he had a great time!

Watering the Rocks

Ryan was supposed to be watering the trees, but his aim was a little off :)

Mama's little helper

Just because....

Ryan loves to help clean the toilets...he asks several times a week if we can do it...haha- he'll learn one day that it's not all it's cracked up to be. But in the meantime, I'll enjoy the time spent together with him!

Here is a video from Ryan in the bath tonight. He kept asking me to get the "cam-wa" so I went to get it and this is the video we shot. Nothing too exciting...except for an hilarious ending!!! ;)

Golfing with Daddy

Thursday, April 10, 2008

This is one of the funniest stories I've heard in a long time...

We went to the park the other night and Ryan met a new friend. They had a great time running around and playing. As we were walking home we asked him if he had fun playing with his new friend. "Yes," Ryan says. Then we asked him what his new friend's name was. "Ark." "What?," I ask trying to figure out what he's talking about. "Ark," he says again.

Want to take a guess as to what the little boy's name was???
(scroll down to see the answer)

Noah!!

Once we figured out the connection we just couldn't stop laughing!
