Flying the Gliders

Gramps bought Ryan a couple of glider planes to keep Ryan entertained at the pig roast (the day after Jenny's wedding). It was quite successful- Ryan was entertained for many hours!

Horses (and hippos!)

My new brother-in-law's dad creates beautiful carousel horses. There was a room full of them. Uncle Eric took Ryan to ride each one and Ryan was just loving it! He also enjoyed playing with and riding on the hippo.

Obama flag

So Aunt Jenny and Uncle Eric thought it would be great to combine Ryan's love of flags with his seeming obsession of Barack Obama and bought him an Obama flag. Despite the fact that neither Brian nor I are Obama supporters, I do think we have the cutest Obama supporter out there! ;)

Hair

I went with Jenny to get her hair done before the wedding...check out those curls...we had some definite laughs over the "before" effects. (See next picture for the pretty finished result!)

Jenny gets married!

So our definite highlight this month was seeing my beautiful and loving sister, Jenny marry a wonderful man. It was a wonderful event and I was honored to take part. We are so very happy for them!!!

Big Boy Bed!!

After several days of work (painting his room, converting the crib to a bed, changing the "theme" of the room, etc.), Ryan's big boy bed is ready to sleep in. I can't tell you how excited he is! All afternoon he has wanted Brian and I to go lay with him. The last two pictures are my favorites- look at that smile! And here's the secret to that great smile...he's looking at himself in the bathroom mirror across the hall. Guess he was liking the looks of himself in the big bed! Man, do I love this boy SO much!!
